We are pleased to announce that our 2010 Recruitment Chairs are Sam Lendi and Kalyn Lykkebak. Sam and Kalyn along with the rest of the chapter are looking forward to Formal Recruitment. Each member of Kappa Delta has benefited greatly from being a member of the Panhellenic Organization at the University of Illinois.

Philanthropy:
Every year during the second week of March, Kappa Delta holds their “Shamrock Event,” chili dinner, dodge ball tournament, 5k run, bake sale and sell t-shirts to friends and family. They also receive donations from alumnae and other members of the community. The money raised is donated to Prevent Child Abuse America and the Champaign Crisis Nursery. To date, national Kappa Delta has donated over $7.1 million dollars to improve the lives of children because they believe it shouldn’t hurt to be a kid!
Fun Fact:
In 2006, Kappa Delta joined the groundbreaking Dove Campaign for Real Beauty to help raise self-esteem in girls and women. The campaign is a global effort intended to serve as a starting point for societal change. This program teaches girls and women to have a positive self-esteem, confidence, and to accept themselves for who they are.
